What we know about you, and why.

What we collect

Only what the site cannot work without:

• Your account: the name and email address you sign up with. Your password is handled by our sign-in provider and stored as a hash — nobody here, including us, can read it.
• Your orders: what you asked for, the total, any note you left, and the status as it moves along. This is the shop’s record of the sale.
• Your saved items, so the things you keep coming back to are still there next time.
• Anything you type into the contact form: your name, email, the topic and the message itself.
• A visit record for each page view — the page, where you arrived from, and the rough location our host works out from your connection. It goes to a private dashboard for the group, and it is not tied to your account.

What we never collect

We do not take card details on this site. Nothing here asks for a card number, and no payment page exists to put one into. You settle up with us directly when the order is confirmed, so there is no card of yours for us to lose.

We do not buy information about you from anyone, and we do not sell or rent yours.

One account, several shops

The same Chitemere account signs you in across every venture in the group. Your name and email are shared between them, which is the point — you only register once. What you ordered at one shop is not visible to the others.

Who else handles it

Running a site this size means renting a few services. These are the only ones that touch your information:

• Supabase — the database and the sign-in system. Your account and your orders live here.
• Resend — sends the emails: your welcome message, order confirmations, and the copies that come to us.
• Vercel — hosts the site and serves the pages. It sees the ordinary details of a web request, including your IP address.

Cookies and what sits in your browser

A sign-in cookie, so you stay signed in between pages. Remove it and you are simply signed out.

Your light or dark preference, remembered so the site does not flash the wrong one at you.

Your basket lives in your own browser, not on our server. Until you actually place the order, we have never seen it.

There are no advertising cookies on this site, and nothing here follows you onto other people’s websites.

How long we keep it

Orders we keep, because a shop has to be able to answer questions about a sale months later. Account details we keep while the account exists. Enquiries we keep until the conversation is finished and a reasonable while after, in case you come back to it.

Asking us to change or delete it

Message us and say what you want: a copy of what we hold, a correction, or the account gone entirely. We will do it. If you ask us to delete the account we will keep the bare record of completed orders, because those are the shop’s books, and remove the rest.

Children

This site is meant for adults doing business with us. We do not knowingly keep accounts for children, and if one turns up we will remove it.

When this page changes

If what we do with your information changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. We will not quietly widen it and hope nobody reads.
